Riders are responsible for making their own reservations for the designated hotels in Pittsburgh, Cumberland and Hagerstown where we have RA group rates by calling the hotels directly using the phone numbers provided below. You are free to stay in other hotels but you will be responsible for transport to and from the designated hotels for bag pick up and the ride start point. For Ohiopyle and Confluence, your room and dinner is included in your reservation fee.
We will be staying at the Homestead Marriott Courtyard (401 West Waterfront Drive • West Homestead) and the Hampton Inn & Suites (301 W. Waterfront Drive) in Pittsburgh PA. You and your bike will be delivered to the hotel on Wednesday night and after check-in, dinner will be on your own. There are numerous restaurants in the area from which to choose and don’t be shy about teaming up with people for dinner. Breakfast will be at the hotel the next morning prior to the ride – it is included in the rate at the Hampton Inn but is not included in the Homestead Marriott Courtyard rate ($10-15 dollars for breakfast buffet)
Day 1 Lunch will be at the Connellsville rest stop and is included in your reservation fee.
You will be staying in either Ohiopyle or Confluence. Riders will be assigned a location prior to the ride, and a group dinner will be included at both locations. Breakfast will be at Falls Market in Ohiopyle. At 8:00 AM we'll take our signature “waterfall” picture with the Ohiopyle group. Breakfast will be available in Confluence at your respective house or at the diner in town.
Day 1 Lunch will be available along the trail in Meyersdale at the G.I. Day Restaurant and other local restaurants.
Riders will be staying at the Fairfield by Marriott (right off the trail) or the Ramada (a short ride into Cumberland). Dinner will be on your own, but we will make reservations for several large groups at multiple restaurants if you wish to dine with the group. Breakfast will be at your respective hotels the next morning prior to the ride and is included in the cost.
Day 3 Lunch The SAG wagon will provide snacks near Paw Paw tunnel and lunch will be on your own in Hancock where there are several restaurants just off the trail including Weavers and Potomac River BBQ for a sit down meal or Subway for a quick stop
