Day to DayDay OneDay TwoDay Three

Harpers Ferry is the next photo op—about 12 miles from Shepherdstown. Brunswick is about five miles from there, and that’s where lunch is. Lunch is on your own at the Railroad Days festival in the streets of Brunswick.

Then back to the canal. The first mile or so is on a gravel road (watch out for holes). Keep heading down the canal about 20 miles to Whites Ferry (Second Rest Stop). Keep going another 13 miles until you get to Riley’s lock (mile post 22). From there we will have an escort to Smokey Glen Farm where the picnic will be held. It’s about a 7 mile ride to Smokey Glen Farm along Seneca Rd., Route 28 and Riffleford Rd. The group will stop at the Presbyterian Church on Route 28 (after the Shell Station) so as to group up and allow the rookies to get in front).
